Job Summary:
The Assistant Principal assists the Principal in the management, organization, safety, supervision, and educational leadership of the school. The Assistant Principal assumes the administrative leadership of the school in the absence of the Principal.
Organizational Relationship:
The Assistant Principal reports directly to the Principal and the Superintendent.
Qualifications:
- Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator Licensure with Principal (PRIN) endorsement, required
- Completed all modules of the ISBE Teacher Evaluation training
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions regarding safety and welfare of students
- Ability to maintain supportive, collaborative public, student, and coworker relationships
- Solutions-focused approach to supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of all children
- Experience working within an elementary school setting and a diverse (culturally, racially, ethnically, linguistically etc.) student population
District 69 offers a competitive administrative benefits package that includes employer contributions toward health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as Board-paid TRS contributions. Minimum base salary of $95,000.
