NeedyMeds is a national nonprofit organization seeking a compassionate, dependable person to join our team in Gloucester. This position includes assisting helpline callers with finding programs that may help with medication and healthcare costs, as well as processing Patient Assistance Program (PAP) applications.
We will provide training on the thousands of programs and resources listed by NeedyMeds. This is an in-office position with some flexibility in scheduling.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist callers from diverse backgrounds with finding help with medication and healthcare costs
- Process Patient Assistance Program applications accurately and efficiently
- Clearly explain program requirements and application procedures
- Accurately document calls, applications, and other interactions
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Respond to questions with courtesy, patience, and understanding
- Perform data entry and work with databases
- Complete repetitive and detail-oriented tasks accurately
- Balance established policies with excellent customer service
- Assist with additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Excellent and current computer skills; NeedyMeds is a Mac-based office
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Previous call center, customer service, healthcare, or application-processing experience is a plus
- Comfortable working with databases and learning new systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new programs and procedures
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Spanish-speaking applicants are strongly encouraged to apply
Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, with higher starting pay available for qualified bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates. Employees are eligible for a pay increase after successfully completing the 60-day probationary period.
