Job Overview
We are seeking FULL & PART TIME skilled Truck Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting Natural Stone Products across various routes. This role requires a professional driver who is comfortable operating different types of trucks, including flatbeds and dump trucks while ensuring timely deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate all trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensuring proper loading & strapping to prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and deliveries as required by law.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Navigate routes efficiently, utilizing GPS technology when necessary.
- Perform delivery functions using forklifts or other equipment as needed.
We require:
- Min 2 years’ experience
- Use electronic logs on tablets.
- Must be able to drive standard transmissions - no automatics
- Physically fit
- Clean driving record required
- Current DOT physical
- Versatility to operate Tractor Trailer, Tri-Axel, Flat Bed Trailer
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Experience with flatbed trucks is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with local routes.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading, strapping, and securing loads.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
