We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Service Technician to join our team, dedicated to maintaining and repairing equipment within manufacturing facilities. As a Service Technician, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service by troubleshooting complex systems, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting field service operations. Duties
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across manufacturing facilities using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC/R systems, and precision measuring instruments to prevent downtime.
- Operate and troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage electrical systems with tools like ammeters and ohmmeters, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future repairs.
- Perform welding—specifically welding—and mechanical repairs using various tools including scissors lifts and other industrial equipment.
- Analyze system performance data to identify issues proactively and recommend improvements; perform analysis using specialized tools for electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
- Support technical sales efforts by providing expert advice on equipment upgrades, system modifications, or new installations tailored to customer needs.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, especially when working with high voltage or in confined spaces, ensuring a safe environment for all team members.
Experience
- Proven industrial mechanic experience within manufacturing facilities or similar environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in industrial maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, welding (including welding), and precision measuring instruments.
- Electrical experience including low voltage systems, high voltage safety procedures, and electrical diagnostics using ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Field service experience providing on-site support at manufacturing plants or customer sites.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking; ability to analyze data for preventative measures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly in English.
- Additional qualifications such as industrial electrician experience or military technical training are highly desirable.
