Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team for Pinch A Penny, a swimming pool /spa cleaning / maintenance store. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional customer service, swimming pool water testing, filling chemical jugs for pool / spa cleaning and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Your ability to communicate effectively and your passion for retail will play a crucial part in driving sales and fostering customer loyalty.
Duties
As a Retail Sales Associate, your responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with customers to understand their needs for the swimming pools and spas and provide tailored product recommendations.
- Demonstrating product features and benefits through effective product demos for swimming pools and spas.
- Assisting customers at the cash register, handling transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Filling and Delivering Liquid bleach / chlorine jugs to customers
- Maintaining an organized and visually appealing sales floor by stocking merchandise and ensuring displays are well-presented.
- Utilizing basic math skills to process sales transactions and manage cash handling effectively.
- Implementing selling techniques to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Providing outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborating with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in retail sales in swimming pool / spa business or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Basic math proficiency for handling transactions and retail math calculations.
- Familiarity with cash registers and cash handling procedures is a plus.
- A proactive attitude towards upselling products and enhancing the shopping experience for customers.
