Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Kentucky SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Two or more years of professional experience preferred
- Previous school-based and/or teletherapy experience is a plus
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Comfortable utilizing virtual platforms and digital tools
Primary Responsibilities
Assessment & Service Delivery
- Conduct virtual speech and language evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Deliver direct teletherapy services to students
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions using performance data
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of services, progress, and goal attainment
- Complete evaluations, reports, and required documentation in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
Collaboration & Team Participation
- Partner with teachers, families, and school personnel to support student outcomes
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions
- Share strategies that promote skill carryover across school and home environments
Telepractice & Technology
- Utilize digital therapy resources to create engaging virtual sessions
- Adapt materials to support effective online learning experiences
- Assist families with basic platform navigation and troubleshooting when needed
Student Advocacy
- Help students access appropriate communication services and supports
- Provide educational resources to caregivers and school teams as needed
