We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of animals in our facility, ensuring they are comfortable, safe, and healthy.
Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels and common areas.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff.
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations or procedures.
- Support dog training sessions as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Handle heavy lifting as required when moving animals or cleaning supplies.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to animal care and kennel operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred (kennel experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with dog training techniques and veterinary practices is desirable.
- Experience as a veterinary technician, assistant, or groomer is an advantage.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
