Medical Records Clerk Responsibilities:
- Gather patient medical records and documents from internal and external sources.
- Issue medical records to persons and agencies according to laws and regulations.
- Distribute medical records to the appropriate staff and providers.
- Maintain quality and accurate records by following endoscopy procedures.
- Ensure patient charts, paperwork, tasks and reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Make sure all medical records are protected and kept confidential.
- File all patients' medical records and information.
- Complete clerical duties including scanning documents, emailing results, calling other medical institutions.
Medical Records Clerk Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Advanced understanding of medical terminology and administration processes.
- Proficient in information management programs, Adobe and MS Office.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
