IT Project Manager, IT Department

We have created a new position, IT Project Manager, to manage various process improvement and system implementation initiatives across the organization. The IT Project Manager will report to the Senior Manager, IT Project Management, and work closely with leaders within the IT department and other leaders across the organization. Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven capability of communicating to all levels of the organization as this position with have significant interaction with senior leadership
- Thorough knowledge of project management theories and practices and the ability to apply that knowledge
- History of successfully delivering on large-scale IT projects involving diverse stakeholders and multiple vendors

Extensive knowledge of the information systems development life cycle, information technology, project tools and approaches to development and implementation.
- Experience working as a project manager

Ability to lead, encourage and influence others to perform

Proven success in vendor management, i.e. partnering with one or more vendors during a project to achieve results as a team and holding vendors accountable when appropriate.

Although not expected to be significant, ability to travel as necessary to perform job responsibilities.
Desirable Qualifications:

PMP Certification preferred; Scrum / Agile Certifications and experience a plus
