Hospice Chaplain – Catalina Hospice (Tucson, AZ)

Catalina Hospice is a locally owned, Joint Commission-accredited hospice serving Tucson and surrounding communities. Our mission is to provide compassionate, individualized end-of-life care that honors the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of every patient and family we serve.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Chaplain to join our interdisciplinary team. This position offers the opportunity to make a profound difference by providing spiritual support, comfort, and guidance to patients and families during life's most meaningful moments.
Responsibilities
- Provide spiritual care and emotional support to hospice patients and their families, regardless of religious affiliation or beliefs.
- Conduct spiritual assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Offer prayer, counseling, life review, and bereavement support as appropriate.
- Coordinate with community clergy and faith organizations when requested by patients and families.
- Participate as an active member of the hospice interdisciplinary team.
- Document visits and interventions in the electronic medical record.
- Support staff and volunteers with education and emotional support related to end-of-life care.
Qualifications
- Ordained minister, chaplain, or spiritual leader with appropriate ecclesiastical endorsement preferred.
- Previous hospice, palliative care, healthcare, or pastoral care experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to minister respectfully to individuals from diverse faith traditions and cultural backgrounds.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
