Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician
As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. You’ll work closely with a team of professionals to implement behavior intervention plans, ensuring that each individual receives the personalized care they deserve.
What you’ll do
- Implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies to promote positive behavior change.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to enhance their independence and quality of life.
- Collect and record data on client progress, ensuring accurate documentation for ongoing assessments.
- Collaborate with families and team members to develop effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Provide support in teaching essential skills, including social interactions and communication techniques.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive medical records and documentation.
- Engage in behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills in behavioral therapy.
Basic qualifications
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical documentation.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices.
Preferred qualifications
- Background in special education or related fields.
- Familiarity with data collection methods used in behavioral analysis.
- Previous experience working directly with individuals on the autism spectrum.
