Focused On Machining is a growing aerospace and precision manufacturing company seeking an experienced CNC Multi-axis Live Tooling Lathe Machinist/Programmer to join our team. We're a fast-paced, quality-driven shop producing high-precision components for aerospace and defense customers — and we're on a growth run right now, with major new contract wins driving real opportunity for the right person to take ownership of a program.
Our Lathes: Puma 200A, Hwacheon Hitech 200B, and a new Puma 2100Y on order — all Fanuc controls.
What You'll Do
- Set up, program, and operate CNC multi axis lathes for complex, tight-tolerance parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and job travelers
- Program and edit CNC programs using Mastercam and CAD software
- Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections
- Use precision inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Machine Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Titanium, and exotic alloys
- Maintain aerospace-grade quality standards
Qualifications
- CNC lathe machining experience required (Fanuc control experience a plus)
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
- Mastercam programming experience (2+ years)
- Solid mechanical aptitude and manufacturing background
- Proficiency in basic shop math
- Forklift experience a plus
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident) as defined by ITAR — this role requires access to export-controlled technical data
