Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in property management, with expertise in landlord-tenant law, leasing, and facilities management. This role requires excellent customer service skills, conflict management abilities, and a thorough understanding of Fair Housing regulations. The Property Manager will be responsible for ensuring tenant satisfaction while maintaining property standards and maximizing occupancy rates.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations.
- Ensure compliance with landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
- Utilize property management software such as Appfolio for data entry, filing, and customer relationship management.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure maintenance standards are met.
- Handle tenant inquiries and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
- Negotiate lease agreements and contracts with prospective tenants.
- Implement sales strategies to enhance occupancy rates through upselling techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, maintenance requests, and financial transactions.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to address property upkeep and repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance tenant satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administration.
- Familiarity with Section 8 housing programs is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law and Fair Housing regulations.
- Proficient in property management software (Appfolio).
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry and administrative tasks.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills.
- Previous experience in sales or upselling is an advantage.
