Nick’s House of Pancakes is seeking a reliable and energetic Morning Breakfast Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality breakfast dishes in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in cooking from scratch, maintaining consistency, and keeping a clean and organized workstation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast items including pancakes, eggs, bacon, omelets, waffles, and specialty dishes
- Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen workspace
- Manage grill and stovetop stations during busy morning service hours
- Ensure food is prepared and plated in a timely manner
- Restock ingredients and prep items for smooth service flow
- Follow all food safety and health regulations
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff during orders
Schedule
- Morning shifts (We close at 2pm during the week, and 3pm on the weekends.)
- Weekend availability required
- Full-time or part-time positions available
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a breakfast cook, line cook, or short-order cook preferred
- Ability to work early morning shifts consistently
- Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs
- Bilingual Spanish is preferred
