Step onto our production floor and into a predictable rhythm: four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, with a three-day weekend waiting every week. As a Swiss-Turn and CNC Lathe Production Operator at CCT Enterprises, you’ll keep established CNC Swiss and CNC turning centers running smoothly on 2nd shift, producing reliable, high-quality parts that our customers count on.
- Review setup documentation, work instructions, and Job Instruction Manuals (JIM Books) to start the run.
- Load bar stock and raw material, bring the bar feeder online, and verify coolant flow and chip evacuation.
- Run established programs on CNC Swiss and CNC lathes; monitor machine performance closely.
- Perform routine tool changes and touch-offs; flag any wear or anomalies early.
- Check critical dimensions in-process with calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and thread gauges (as applicable).
- Document results, complete job travelers, and update JobBOSS entries accurately.
- Hit planned production rates while maintaining CCT’s quality and safety standards.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and work instructions.
- Verify parts meet print before releasing production to full run.
- Track critical features throughout the lot; identify and segregate any scrap or suspect parts.
- Escalate tooling, machine, or quality concerns to your supervisor promptly.
- Partner closely with Set-Up Technicians, Quality, and Production Supervisors.
- Pitch in across the department when needed and contribute to lean initiatives.
- Take advantage of ongoing training to build toward future Set-Up roles.
- Follow company safety procedures and safe machining practices.
- Know your e-stop and machine safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and report hazards immediately.

- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of CNC machining experience.
- Hands-on experience with CNC lathes, Swiss machines, or similar turning equipment.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and use calipers and micrometers.
- Basic math; ability to read and understand English.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Direct Swiss machining and/or CNC lathe experience.
- Production manufacturing background and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with JobBOSS or comparable ERP/MES.
- Bar feeder experience.
- Interest in growing into CNC Swiss or CNC Lathe Set-Up roles.
This Role Is:
- Running established CNC Swiss and lathe equipment safely and efficiently.
- Producing precision parts to spec and on schedule.
- Monitoring tooling, process stability, and quality.
- Preparing for advancement into CNC Set-Up positions.
This Role Is Not:
- A CNC programming position.
- A full machine setup position.
- An engineering role.
