Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Store Operations Manager/Pointe Shoe Fitter to lead our retail team with enthusiasm and precision. In this multifaceted role, you will oversee daily store operations, manage inventory, and deliver exceptional customer service while providing expert fitting and sales support for pointe shoes. Your leadership will ensure smooth store functioning, foster a positive shopping environment, and drive sales growth. Responsibilities
- Manage daily store operations, including opening, closing, and shift supervision to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
- Lead and motivate the retail sales team through effective training, coaching, and performance management to meet sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including stock replenishment, purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising to maximize product availability and presentation.
- Provide expert fitting services for pointe shoes, assessing customer needs and recommending appropriate products to ensure optimal fit and comfort.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism via phone, email, or in person, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain accurate cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) transactions, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative records to support operational excellence.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract new customers and retain loyal clients.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within a retail environment, preferably with supervisory or assistant manager roles.
- Extensive knowledge of retail sales techniques, inventory management, POS systems, and merchandising principles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, and supervise a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to serve a broad customer base.
- Experience in customer service excellence, cash handling accuracy, and operational management is essential.
- Familiarity with pointe shoe fitting procedures or willingness to learn specialized product knowledge related to dance footwear.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic math proficiency for inventory calculations, pricing adjustments, and financial transactions.
- Off site events and weekends expected
