Position Summary:
The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day physical operations and appearance of Connecticut Foodshare’s Warehouse in accordance with Feeding America’s standards. This individual will report to Warehouse Management in Wallingford.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Primary Responsibilities:

Picks and stages orders for distribution to branches and member agencies.

Stores product appropriately (dry, freezer and cooler) in a reasonably accessible manner.

Receives and unloads all incoming shipments and loads trucks for outgoing shipments.

Inspects all donations and reports any problems to Warehouse Manager.

Accurately counts and completes all required paperwork.

Assists with quality control and inventory.

Identifies and escalates issues to senior team members in a timely manner.

Performs daily inspection of equipment.

Maintains a clean work environment free of hazards in compliance with OSHA, GMP, and AIB standards.

Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Education/Experience:
-
High School diploma or GED.
Preferred Education/Experience:
-
2+ years progressively responsible experience in similar or related function.

Experience in general warehousing.
-
Pallet jack/forklift certification.
