Description of responsibilities - essential candidate qualities, preferences and skills:
- Must understand weld symbols and know the proper use of weld gauges.
- Must be experienced with carbon cutting and gouging and oxygen gas cutting.
- Must pass the standard training, written and operational testing to operate the following machinery and equipment:
- Overhead Cranes.
- Forklift.
- Mobile Equipment.
- Punch Press.
- Cold Saw.
- Hot Saw.
- Burning or cutting equipment.
- Paint equipment
- Comply with OSHA safety standards.
- Must be able to be certified through company provided program.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum three years’ experience with all phases of code welding, SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) and FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding) on carbon steel materials, plates beams, tube, and pipe per WAS D1.1.
- Adhere to all safe operations / policies / guidelines.
- Be called upon to perform general labor duties as outlined in the Concrete General Laborer Job Description.
- · Experience working in an indoor and outdoor manufacturing environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Lay-out experience.
- Ability to read shop drawings.
- High school diploma or GED.
- · Experience working in an indoor and outdoor manufacturing environment.
- · Bilingual.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be very active and constantly requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
