The Role
We are hiring an experienced PM Sous Chef to join our management team. This is a leadership position responsible for working alongside the line cooks to maintain consistency and oversee evening kitchen operations. The PM Sous Chef will also assist the AM Sous Chef and Executive Chef with prep supervision, ordering, receiving, and upholding the highest standards of kitchen sanitation and cleanliness.
The PM Sous Chef is also responsible for training staff in purchasing, receiving, preparation, quality standards, safety, and sanitation. This position consists primarily of evening shifts. Full weekend availability is required, including Sundays. The PM Sous Chef reports directly to the Executive Chef.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook, and expediter
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a kitchen team
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Ability to work well in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
- Clear and effective communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
Compensation & Benefits
- $50,000 – $55,000 annual salary, depending on experience
- Service charge share pool distributed among all kitchen staff
