The ideal candidate will have strong skills in various plastering techniques and surface preparation, along with standard construction operations and mechanics. This role requires excellent attention to detail to ensure adequate site preparation, and even finishes on all surfaces. Physical stamina is essential as the job involves standing for extended periods and handling materials. Scaffold erection and dismantling is a small aspect of the job, with a key focus on safety.Medical/Dental/Vision coverage are available.
Responsibilities
- Apply plaster and stucco to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to create smooth or textured finishes according to project specifications
- Prepare surfaces for full EIFS systems - installation of foam boards, base coats, finish coats, flashings, etc
- Caulking to a clean and neat line
- Erecting and dismantling scaffold
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications
- Knowledge of safety protocols and proper handling of construction materials
- Ability to work at heights, either scaffolding, roof, or on lifts with harnesses
- Ability to work in constant exposure to outside elements
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced and complex environment
- Ability to squat, climb, and work in awkward positions/confined spaces
- Ability to lift, push, pull heavy items weighing up to 50 lbs. or more
- Physical dexterity, stamina, and excellent hand-eye coordination with ability to: grasp, assemble, and lift objects, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods over uneven surfaces, squat, bend, climb ladders onto equipment or other objects
