Facility Maintenance Technician - HVAC / Multi-Craft
Jeffcoat Mechanical is hiring a dependable, skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to care for a commercial property as if it were your own.
This is not a job where you are dispatched to a different location every day. You will report to the same facility, build relationships with the people there, learn the building and its systems inside and out, and take pride in keeping everything operating properly.
You will be responsible for day-to-day facility maintenance, HVAC preventive maintenance, service calls, repairs, inspections, and minor plumbing and electrical work. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, stays organized, communicates well, and takes ownership of their work.
What You’ll Do
· Perform scheduled HVAC preventive maintenance and basic repairs
· Respond to facility maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues
· Handle minor plumbing repairs, such as toilets, faucets, drains, valves, and fixtures
· Perform minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting within assigned scope
· Inspect equipment and building systems for issues before they become major problems
· Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment information
· Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, and building staff
· Help coordinate larger repairs or specialty work with our service team and subcontractors
· Keep mechanical rooms, work areas, and maintenance inventory organized
· Take pride in maintaining a safe, clean, dependable facility
What We’re Looking For
· Experience in commercial HVAC service, facilities maintenance, apartment maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a similar multi-craft role
· Strong HVAC troubleshooting and preventive-maintenance skills
· Working knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical repairs
· Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities
· Professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset
· Dependable attendance and a strong sense of ownership
· Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
· EPA certification preferred
· Experience with work-order systems, maintenance logs, or mobile service software is a plus
