Job Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors and assist the intake process when arriving
- Maintain accurate appointment logs
- Provide direction to people in person and on the phone
- Performing clerical work
- Disseminate information to medical staff
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation
- Keep a clean and calm reception area
- Handling patient emergencies
- Monitoring stock and supplies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Admit patient to examination room. Complete vital signs and chart health information into the medical record.
- Administer medications within scope of practice.
- Scribe in the room with the physicians and assist in medical procedures with the physician or mid-level provider.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Medical Assistant Certification required.
- Active BLS certification preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Experience working in a clinical setting required.
- Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate patient records.
- Travel to all offices is required when needed (Keyport, Red Bank, Hazlet, Howell)
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
-Ability to perform manual blood pressure assessments.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and move safely using proper body mechanics. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to walk frequently.
