Job Summary:
Coated Metals Group (CMG), an employee-owned company (ESOP) and a leader in architectural sheet metal products, is seeking a dependable and experienced Warehouse Associate – Material Handler for our Indianapolis, IN facility. In this role, you will be a key part of our operations by efficiently and safely loading and unloading material from a machine, packaging and staging material, and driving multiple types of sit-down forklifts. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move and organize raw materials and finished goods, including steel, coil, and sheet products (up to 10,000lbs).
- Collaborate with other warehouse associates and team members to safely move/stage/and package products in an efficient manner.
- Experience handling Steel Sheet and Coil a plus but not required
- Other duties assigned by Management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Reliability: Punctuality, responsibility, and commitment to delivering high-quality work are essential.
- Driving: Valid driver’s license
- Forklift Operation: Proficiency in handling forklifts and related warehouse equipment.
- Packaging: Able to use a portable bander to strap material to wooden pallets.
- Safety-Conscious: Familiarity with safety guidelines for warehouse operations.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to pick, pack, and prepare orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Receptiveness: Ability to take direction and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Basic Math: Competent in basic math to help maintain inventory and process orders.
- Measuring: Ability to read a use a tape measure effectively.
- Team Player: Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate in fast-paced environment
- Mechanically Inclined: Experience with basic equipment repair is a plus but not required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
- Bilingual / Spanish speaker is a plus
Shift: Night - 7:30am-4:00pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
