Duties
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, furniture, and fixtures to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Perform detailed floor care tasks such as vacuuming carpets or mopping hard floors.
- Restock supplies like towels, toiletries, and linens to meet guest needs efficiently.
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks when required, such as shampooing carpets.
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to ensure swift resolution and guest safety.
- Assist with laundry cycling and folding when applicable
- Strive to be able to work under time constraints.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to create a safe environment for guests and staff alike.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred; experience in janitorial or industrial cleaning is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and sanitation standards within hospitality settings.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Good physical stamina and mobility to perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout shifts, including bending, standing and lifting.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices and customer service principles is a plus.
