Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and portioning produce according to established recipes and standards
- Assemble salads and cold dishes efficiently while maintaining high quality and presentation standards
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure cleanliness, proper handling, and storage of ingredients
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new salad combinations and seasonal ingredients
- Support food preparation tasks such as ingredient prep, garnishing, and plating for service
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to sanitation guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth kitchen operations
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments demonstrating strong knife skills and meal prep abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and food service operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving guests
- Basic culinary experience including knife skills, food presentation, and ingredient management
