Finance HR Controller

Reports To: HR Director, Americas (with dotted-line partnership to Finance / Controlling)

Position Summary
The Finance HR Controller serves as the financial business partner for Human Resources, responsible for planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and controlling all people-related costs across the Americas. This role ensures the integrity of labor cost reporting, headcount planning, payroll reconciliation, and HR financial analytics while partnering closely with Finance, Payroll, Operations, and Business Leaders.
The position combines financial controlling expertise with HR operational knowledge to support strategic workforce decisions, improve financial accuracy, and provide meaningful insights into labor costs, productivity, and organizational performance. This type of role is becoming increasingly common as companies integrate finance and HR planning functions. Must be a back up for Payroll.
Essential Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop annual HR budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Prepare monthly labor cost reporting
- Analyze labor cost variances
- Forecast headcount expenses
- Track salary increases and bonus accruals
- Monitor benefit expenses
- Analyze overtime and agency labor costs
- Support annual operating plan development
- Build long-range workforce financial models
HR Controlling
- Own monthly HR financial close activities
- Reconcile payroll to General Ledger
- Monitor headcount movements
- Validate FTE reporting
- Analyze vacancies and hiring plans
- Track organizational changes
- Manage labor cost allocations
- Review cost center accuracy
Reporting & Analytics
Develop dashboards and reporting for:
- Headcount
- FTE
- Labor costs

- Temporary labor

Qualifications Education
Bachelor's degree in:
