About the Role
As a Lead Ground Support Equipment Technician, you will serve as a technical authority, ensuring the peak performance and reliability of critical airport support machinery. You will drive operational success by leading diagnostic efforts, mentoring junior staff, and optimizing maintenance workflows to minimize equipment downtime.
Responsibilities-
Direct daily maintenance operations, ensuring all motorized and non-motorized equipment meets rigorous safety and performance standards.

Perform advanced diagnostics on complex hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to resolve malfunctions efficiently.

Mentor and coach technical staff, fostering a culture of high-quality workmanship and professional development.

Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules to maximize the lifespan and availability of the fleet.

Manage parts inventory and procurement to ensure technicians have the necessary resources for timely repairs.

Implement process improvements that enhance shop efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Maintain precise documentation of all service activities and equipment performance metrics.

Lead safety initiatives and training to ensure a secure and compliant work environment.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy equipment or GSE maintenance.

Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a technical environment.

Advanced proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret technical manuals and digital documentation.

Valid driver's license and ability to pass necessary background and security clearances.

Physical capability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in varied environments, including confined spaces and elevated heights.

Experience with diesel engine performance and drivability diagnostics.

Familiarity with lift truck repair and heavy equipment systems.

Proficiency in using tablets and mobile devices for maintenance management software.

Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control maintenance expenditures.
