C. Volden Trucking is a family-owned trucking company based in Readstown, Wisconsin, providing dependable hauling services throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest. We are seeking a safety-minded CDL Dump Truck Driver to operate quad axle dump trucks on construction and material hauling projects.
This position is ideal for a dependable commercial driver who takes pride in operating equipment safely, providing excellent service, and working as part of a team.
Compensation
$25.00–$50.00 per hour
Hourly pay is based on experience, qualifications, and project assignment. Prevailing wage opportunities are available on qualifying jobs.
Responsibilities

Safely operate a quad axle dump truck on construction and hauling projects.

Transport gravel, aggregate, asphalt, soil, and other materials to customer and job sites.

Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.

Maintain accurate daily logs and load documentation.

Follow established delivery schedules while communicating effectively with dispatch and customers.

Help identify maintenance needs and keep assigned equipment clean and in good operating condition.

Comply with all company safety policies and applicable DOT regulations.
Schedule

Full-time seasonal position

Overtime opportunities available during the construction season

Most drivers return home daily

Occasional overnight travel may be required depending on project location

Some positions may allow drivers to keep their assigned truck at home
Whenever practical, drivers are assigned the same truck to promote equipment familiarity and consistent care.
Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required

Ability to meet DOT medical certification requirements

Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical duties associated with the position

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and dependable attendance
Additional Opportunity
We are also seeking drivers who are interested in working on longer-term projects outside the local area. Housing arrangements may be available for qualifying assignments and will be discussed during the hiring process.
