Operations & Business Development Coordinator
Part-Time (20–25 Hours per Week Initially)
The schedule is flexible within our normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). As the firm grows, there may be opportunities for additional hours, expanded responsibilities, or a transition to full-time if that aligns with both the firm's needs and the employee's preferences. Our office is located in Milwaukie, Oregon, and this position is primarily in person at that location.

What You'll Do
We are hiring an Operations & Business Development Coordinator to work directly with the owner on the growth and operation of the firm.
This position is separate from our Client Intake Specialist role, which focuses on client intake, scheduling, and administrative support.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and documenting internal systems
- Managing projects from planning through completion
- Building and maintaining relationships with banks, financial advisors, CPAs, attorneys, and other professional partners in the community
- Coordinating networking events and professional lunches
- Researching and implementing technology and AI
- Maintaining the firm's knowledge system
- Improving workflows and business processes
- Assisting with marketing and business development initiatives
- Creating dashboards, reports, and documentation
- Supporting strategic projects as the firm grows
This role is integrated into the day-to-day operation of the practice. The person in this position will regularly participate in client service, business development, practice management, technology initiatives, strategic planning, and many other aspects of operating a growing law firm.
The firm is being built with an emphasis on thoughtful systems, continuous improvement, and long-term professional relationships. This role will play an important part in documenting how we do things, creating efficient workflows, and helping the business grow intentionally over time.

A bachelor's degree is preferred. We place even greater value on good judgment, strong writing skills, intellectual curiosity, professionalism, and the ability to learn quickly.
The position is expected to begin at approximately 20–25 hours per week.
As the firm grows, we expect the role to grow as well, with increasing responsibility and compensation.
The position is expected to be performed primarily from our office in Milwaukie. As the role develops and trust is established, there may be opportunities for increased flexibility, including occasional remote work when appropriate.
Compensation
$28–38 per hour DOE
