Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MRI Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling imaging appointments, verifying payer information, screening patients for imaging safety, and coordinating transportation when needed. This role requires proficiency with eClinicalWorks (eCW), excellent communication skills, and a patient-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule MRI and other imaging appointments through eClinicalWorks (eCW), ensuring timely coordination with internal and external imaging facilities.
- Screen imaging patients for contraindications, including metal implants, pacemakers, allergies, pregnancy, or prior imaging reactions.
- Provide patients with clear pre-appointment instructions, including safety and preparation guidelines.
- Verify payer information and eligibility prior to imaging appointments.
- Coordinate transportation for patients who require rideshare or non-emergency medical transport (NEMT).
- Maintain detailed and accurate records in eCW, including imaging orders, documentation, and patient communications.
- Manage inbound calls regarding imaging scheduling, preparation, and follow-up questions.
- Work closely with medical providers, medical assistants, and imaging centers to ensure smooth scheduling and workflow.
- Promptly notify patients of any schedule changes and follow up as necessary.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain confidentiality in all patient interactions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional medical office or radiology training preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, ideally with imaging or MRI scheduling.
- Proficiency with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is required.
- Familiarity with MRI safety screening and basic imaging protocols.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with professionalism and efficiency.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.99 per hour
