Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support within a pharmacy setting. You will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of medications, while maintaining compliance with all regulations and standards. Your expertise in medical terminology, aseptic technique, and IV infusion will be essential in delivering critical care to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Perform aseptic technique during the preparation of sterile products, including IV infusions.
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and ensuring proper storage of medications.
- Participate in patient care initiatives, contributing to the overall health and well-being of patients in acute care settings.
- Stay updated on pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance.
Experience
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred, particularly in acute or critical care environments.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals is essential.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and IV infusion processes is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service are necessary for success in this role.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while demonstrating professionalism at all times.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
