Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive electrical expertise, including commercial electrical experience, with the ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and NEC codes. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects. Candidates should be familiar with low and high voltage systems, programmable logic controllers, and power tools. A strong safety mindset and the ability to work on construction sites are essential to ensure quality work and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and renovation settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues
- Lead helpers to finish through projects.
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC standards
- Program and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as required for automation tasks
- Conduct wiring, conduit installation, grounding, and circuit breaker setup
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure timely project completion
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries during installation or repair work
- Assist in troubleshooting complex electrical problems on construction sites or during renovations
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference
Skills
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes and safety regulations related to electrical work
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low/high voltage systems
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers, as well as power tools like drills and saws
- Ability to operate testing equipment including ohmmeters for diagnostics
- Construction site experience with a focus on renovation projects is preferred
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Additional maintenance person skills such as framing carpentry or schematics reading are advantageous

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
