HVAC Field Technician – Installation, Maintenance & Service
Cowboy’s Heating & Air
Cowboy’s Heating & Air is a growing, family-owned HVAC company looking for a dependable HVAC Field Technician who wants a long-term career and the opportunity to become a well-rounded HVAC professional.
About the Position
This is not an install-only position.
Our workload changes throughout the year based on what our customers need. Some weeks/months may be installation-heavy, while others may include preventative maintenance, service calls, repairs, or assisting other members of the field team.
We believe in cross-training our technicians instead of limiting them to one area of HVAC.
If you're a strong installer who wants to learn maintenance and service, we can help you develop those skills. If you already have service experience, even better.
Our goal is to build a team of HVAC professionals who can work together and adapt to the needs of our customers and the company.
Responsibilities
Depending on your experience and training, responsibilities may include:
- Residential HVAC installation and replacement
- Preventative maintenance
- HVAC troubleshooting and repairs
- Assisting with service calls while training
- Heat pumps, gas furnaces, air conditioners and other HVAC equipment
- Indoor air quality products and accessories
- Geothermal service, maintenance and install
- Start-ups and system testing
- Communicating professionally with customers
- Maintaining company vehicles, tools and equipment
- Helping with equipment, materials and other field operations as needed
We don't expect every applicant to already know how to do everything on this list. We're willing to train the right person.
Who We're Looking For
Technical ability matters, but attitude, dependability and teamwork matter just as much.
We're looking for someone who:
- Shows up and can be counted on by their team
- Takes pride in doing quality work
- Is willing to perform different types of HVAC work as customer demand changes
- Wants to continue learning and advancing their skills
- Works well with other technicians and installers
- Treats customers and their homes with respect
- Understands that no job is "beneath" a team member when something needs to get done
- Wants a career with a growing company rather than simply their next job
- Is an A+ team player
Career Development
We believe in building careers.
Someone may come to us primarily as an installer and develop through:
Installation → Preventative Maintenance → Basic Service → Diagnostics → Full Service Technician
How far you want to take your HVAC career is ultimately up to you. We'll provide opportunities to learn and grow.
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
- Full-time employment
- Paid time off
- Health, dental and vision benefits
- 401(k) with company match after eligibility
- Company uniforms & laundry service
- Bonuses and incentives
- Training and opportunities for advancement
- Variety of HVAC work
- Opportunity to develop installation, maintenance and service skills
