The State of Michigan (DTMB – Agency Services, MDOT) is seeking a System Analyst 3 – Digital Standards & Web Accessibility Reviewer to ensure State websites, applications, and digital documents comply with Michigan Digital Standards and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
This is an excellent opportunity for professionals experienced in digital accessibility testing, assistive technologies, and accessibility compliance.
*Key Responsibilities*
Conduct accessibility reviews of State websites, web applications, and digital documents
Verify compliance with SOM Digital Standards for Websites and Applications
Perform manual and automated accessibility testing using industry-standard tools
Test applications on both desktop and mobile platforms
Utilize assistive technologies such as:
- JAWS
- NVDA
- VoiceOver
- TalkBack
Review branding compliance and other digital standards
Document accessibility findings and prepare detailed review reports
Present findings to application support teams and stakeholders
Collaborate with the eMichigan team to improve accessibility review processes
*Required Qualifications*
Some college education
1+ year of experience testing applications for digital accessibility
1+ year of experience working with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
Advanced knowledge of WCAG 2.1 Level AA
Hands-on experience using accessibility tools and assistive technologies, including:
- JAWS
- NVDA
- VoiceOver
- TalkBack
*Preferred Qualifications*
3+ years of digital accessibility testing experience
WCAG or Accessibility Certification
Previous State or Government project experience
Pay: $40.00 - $42.00 per hour
