Job Site Supervisor
Location: Primarily On-Site (with occasional office work)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil Job Site Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day execution of residential land development projects. This position is primarily field-based and is ideal for someone who enjoys being on-site, solving problems, coordinating multiple teams, and driving projects forward from the ground up.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in residential civil development, understands the pace and expectations of production homebuilding, and can effectively communicate with utilities, engineers, contractors, municipalities, and company leadership.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily site activities for multiple residential land development projects.
- Coordinate with civil contractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications.
- Schedule and coordinate utility installations with electric, gas, water, sewer, telecom, and other utility providers.
- Serve as the primary field liaison between engineers, surveyors, contractors, inspectors, municipalities, and company executives.
- Monitor project schedules, identify potential delays, and proactively implement solutions.
- Perform routine site inspections to verify quality, workmanship, and compliance with approved plans.
- Track construction progress and provide regular updates to management.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, punch lists, and project closeout activities.
- Review civil plans and identify field conflicts or constructability issues.
- Ensure projects remain on schedule while maintaining high quality standards.
- Assist with office coordination, project documentation, budgeting updates, and project meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing or supervising civil land development projects for residential communities.
- Experience coordinating site development for single-family residential subdivisions is required.
- Experience working alongside or with national or regional production homebuilders is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of grading, utilities, paving, drainage, erosion control, and civil construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret civil engineering plans, specifications, and construction documents.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with contractors, engineers, utility providers, municipalities, and executive leadership.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with construction management software is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between project sites.
Preferred Experience
- Residential subdivision development.
- Utility coordination and scheduling.
- Working with municipalities and permitting agencies.
- Experience supporting national homebuilders such as D.R. Horton, Lennar, Perry Homes, KB Home, Meritage Homes, Taylor Morrison, or similar production builders.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
