Service Truck Mechanic – Heavy Equipment, Trucks & Trailers
We are a small, locally owned company looking for an experienced Service Truck Mechanic to join our team immediately.
This position is for an experienced mechanic with a strong background working on heavy equipment, heavy-duty trucks, and trailers. This is not an automotive mechanic position.
10+ years of professional experience is REQUIRED. We are looking for someone who has the knowledge and experience to diagnose problems, determine the appropriate repair, and complete the job with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty trucks, equipment, and trailers
- Perform both mechanical and electrical diagnostics and repairs
- Work independently from a service truck at customer locations
- Identify problems and develop effective repair solutions
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Complete quality repairs and take pride in your work
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience working on heavy trucks, heavy equipment, and trailers
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and make sound repair decisions
- Must have your own professional mechanic tools
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to work efficiently in a mobile/service-truck environment
- Must take pride in quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be comfortable working on heavy-duty equipment rather than automotive vehicles
