Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including handling ingredients and supporting the culinary team.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas through regular cleaning routines aligned with sanitation standards.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and assisting in organizing dining areas for efficient service flow.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, sinks, and other small appliances.
- Follow manual handling protocols when lifting heavy pots, trays, or boxes to ensure safety at all times.
- Adhere strictly to kitchen health and safety standards to prevent accidents or contamination incidents.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential!
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation procedures is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and comfortably during busy shifts.
- Familiarity with operating basic kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and sinks.
