Key Responsibilities:
Print Production & File Preparation
- Receive print-ready files from the design team and verify specifications against work orders
- RIP and nest files efficiently to maximize printer output and material usage
- Ensure color accuracy, scaling, and print settings meet production standards
- Identify potential file or production issues before printing to prevent rework
Printer Operation & Equipment Management
- Operate large-format latex roll-to-roll and flatbed printers in a high-volume production environment
- Manage printer profiles and maintain consistent color calibration across machines
- Monitor print jobs to ensure quality and production efficiency
- Assist with laminating and finishing processes when needed to support production workflow
Quality Control & Production Efficiency
- Inspect printed graphics for color accuracy, defects, and job specifications
- Maintain high standards of quality while keeping production moving efficiently
- Track job progress to ensure on-time completion and minimize rework
- Communicate job issues or delays to the Production Manager quickly
Shop Organization & Maintenance
- Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on printers and surrounding work areas
- Maintain an organized print production area to support efficient workflow
- Monitor material levels and report inventory needs to the Production Manager
- Follow shop procedures and safety guidelines at all times
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a large-format print production environment
- Experience in signage, graphics, or large-format printing operations
- Familiarity with RIP software (ONYX Thrive experience is a strong plus)
- Experience with color calibration, printer profiling, and print quality control
- Knowledge of large-format media types and materials, including 3M products
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during production shifts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify production issues quickly
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) for internal communication and documentation
