Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and experienced Security Supervisor to oversee daily security operations and support the implementation of CTPAT security requirements. This position will supervise security guards, monitor access control procedures, protect cargo and company facilities, provide security training, and maintain accurate security records.
The ideal candidate should have experience in corporate or facility security, strong leadership skills, and a good understanding of CBP CTPAT requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Access Control: Supervise security guards at facility entry and exit points. Ensure that all employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers present proper identification and follow established access control procedures before entering the facility.
- Cargo Security: Inspect, verify, and document cargo seals on trucks, trailers, and containers. Ensure seal numbers are recorded accurately and report any missing, damaged, or mismatched seals to management.
- Facility Patrols: Conduct regular inspections of fences, gates, doors, lighting, surveillance cameras, and other security equipment. Identify and report security concerns, damaged equipment, or conditions that may allow unauthorized entry.
- Security Staff Supervision: Provide daily guidance and support to security guards. Monitor their performance and ensure that assigned duties, patrols, and security procedures are completed properly and consistently.
- Staff Training: Train security officers and warehouse employees on CTPAT requirements, access control procedures, cargo security, and general security awareness. Provide refresher training when procedures or requirements are updated.
- Record Keeping: Complete, review, and maintain accurate security records, including visitor access logs, truck and container seal logs, patrol records, training records, and security audit documents.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 2-5 years in corporate security.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of CBP CTPAT requirements.
- Skills: Strong leadership, computer literacy, and ability to use security software.
- Certifications: CTPAT Practitioner certification is highly preferred.
Salary: 55,000 – 65,000
