AV/IT Specialist – Events and Rentals
Duties and Responsibilities
· Support for rental events in Foundation and Museum spaces to include setup, operation, technical support, and teardown of Foundation owned audio-visual, computer, and lighting equipment.
· Provide extremely limited technical support for customer provided equipment during rental events.
· Support information technology for Foundation users – including but not limited to – basic hardware, software, convergence issues, and daily operation.
· Maintain rental and audio-visual equipment, clean and safely store hardware, update installed software packages and remove customer provided media once the event has concluded.
· Help to support Museum shows by assisting with necessary repairs including lighting and show hardware maintenance, cleaning of display audio-visual and lighting equipment and computer rooms.
· Aid with daily operation of the National Infantry Museum show and audio-visual experience including startup/shut down and emergency maintenance or repairs.
· Attend informational meetings and training as needed.
· Assist with additional duties as assigned by IT Director.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Knowledge of various audio-visual equipment types including projectors, amplifiers, microphones, mixers, and media players.
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
· Ability to logically solve technical problems.
· Time management and accountability.
· Excellent verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
· Willingness to learn new things.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a similar role preferred.
- Must be able to lift seventy-five pounds at times.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed, most rental events are during museum nonbusiness hours.
Pay: $43,000.00 per year
