Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Siding and Window Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and replacing siding and windows on residential and commercial buildings. Duties
- Measure and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install siding and windows according to specifications.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, framing, or repairing existing structures to ensure proper installation.
- Use hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, caulking guns, and fabrication equipment to install siding panels and window units efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously by using construction safety harnesses, ladders, scaffolding, and adhering to workplace safety regulations during outdoor work.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials like metal roofing components, siding panels, and window units while maintaining proper lifting techniques.
- Seal joints with caulking or weatherproofing materials to prevent leaks and improve insulation performance.
- Conduct roofing repairs including single-ply membrane roofing or metal roofing when required as part of exterior restoration projects.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to ensure precise installation aligned with project plans.
- Collaborate with team members on framing carpentry, masonry work, or plumbing tasks when projects involve multi-trade coordination.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris following safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in siding installation, window fitting, roofing (including metal roofing), or related construction fields.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and safety harnesses for outdoor work environments.
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations including proper use of safety harnesses and ladder safety procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina for outdoor work conditions.
- Experience with roofing repair—single-ply membrane roofing or metal roofing—and stucco or masonry is a plus.
- Strong understanding of schematics, fabrication techniques, carpentry (including trim carpentry), framing (metal stud framing), drywall installation, caulking, tile laying or remodeling projects is desirable.
- Excellent reading comprehension for blueprints and technical schematics; ability to interpret complex construction plans accurately.
- Valid experience in construction site management including heavy lifting, scaffolding setup, and adherence to safety protocols is preferred.
