Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Wellness Director to lead our comprehensive health services team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing administration, resident care, and healthcare management, with expertise in overseeing clinical operations within assisted living, nursing home, home health, or hospice care settings. As the Health and Wellness Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing care plans, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a compassionate environment that prioritizes resident well-being. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of care while promoting a positive and supportive community atmosphere.
Duties
- Oversee the development and execution of individualized care plans tailored to residents’ needs, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as Medicare and HIPAA.
- Supervise nursing staff and care providers, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure optimal resident care delivery.
- Manage clinical documentation review, medical records, and electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to legal standards.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure residents’ physiological and anatomical needs are met through appropriate medical interventions.
- Monitor shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels while maintaining quality standards across all hours of operation.
- Conduct regular audits of medical records and documentation to verify compliance with healthcare policies and best practices.
- Lead efforts in staff training on medical terminology, nursing procedures, and regulatory requirements related to assisted living, home health, hospice care, and acute care environments.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing care outcomes and implementing strategies that enhance resident satisfaction and safety.
Experience
- Proven management experience within healthcare settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health agencies.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with nursing staff management and nurse management responsibilities.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation review processes.
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems used for clinical documentation.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations including Medicare requirements and HIPAA compliance standards.
- Previous experience in nursing administration or leadership roles within acute care or hospice environments is highly desirable.

Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
