Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist – Travel
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
- Experience in both **vascular AND neuro interventional procedures** (neuro experience is imperative)
- Current BLS certification required
- Active state Radiology Technologist license required (Connecticut)
- Ability to work independently in a high‑acuity IR environment
Job Details:
- Shift Type = Days
- Shift Hours = 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Schedule = Monday – Friday
- Assignment Length = 13 Weeks (05/26/2026 – 08/24/2026)
- Hours = 40 hours per week + call
- On‑Call = Required Every other weekend Rotating weekday (M–F) call One holiday if it falls within contract dates
- Patient Ratio = Procedure‑based
- Equipment / Systems = Epic, Synapse, StarTrack (training provided if needed)
- Department = Radiology – Special Procedures
Description of job:
SnapCare is seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to support the Special Procedures team at Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, CT. This role requires strong experience in both vascular and neuro interventional cases and the ability to function confidently in a fast‑paced procedural environment.
The IR Technologist will assist with complex diagnostic and interventional procedures while maintaining patient safety, sterile technique, and procedural efficiency. Flexibility for on‑call coverage, including weekends and one holiday if applicable, is required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of recent Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
- Proven experience in **vascular AND neuro interventional cases**
- Current BLS certification
- Active Connecticut Radiology Technologist license
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred; training available for other systems
- Strong understanding of IR protocols, sterile technique, and radiation safety
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during vascular and neuro interventional procedures
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
- Operate fluoroscopy and other IR imaging equipment
- Monitor patients and respond to changes during procedures
- Document procedures accurately in the EMR system
- Participate in on‑call coverage per department rotation
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and radiation safety standards
