Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately guide welding and assembly processes
- Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards
- Measure and mark materials using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and welds
- Operate power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment for cutting, shaping, and preparing metal materials such as sheet metal and structural components
- Fabricate metal parts by cutting, bending, assembling, and welding sheet metal and other metal materials following safety protocols at all times
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for assembly, fitting, grinding, and finishing welded components
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of parts on construction sites or in the shop environment
- Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety procedures, inspecting equipment regularly, and following all safety protocols during welding and fabrication tasks
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of structural steel or metal fabrication projects
- Hands-on experience with various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation, shop math, and measurement instruments such as calipers and micrometers
- Knowledge of mechanical fabrication processes including machining, plasma cutting, assembly, and sheet metal fabrication
- Experience working in a fabrication shop environment with adherence to safety standards aligned with AWS guidelines
- Ability to operate power tools safely while maintaining precision in measuring and fitting components
- Mechanical knowledge related to metal materials selection, welding procedures specific to welding standards, and understanding of safety protocols in industrial settings

Pay: $24.00 - $31.07 per hour
