Location: Hempstead, NY | Schedule: Full time 40 hours | Status: Non-Exempt |Salary Range: $20.35/hour
The Opportunity
Supervise, assist and support the residents and maintain a therapeutic environment that ensures the effective and efficient delivery of services in accordance with regulatory and Agency requirements.
Responsibilities

Provide supervision and direct counseling to residents.

Employ trauma-sensitive practices.
-
Ensure that the program is operating in compliance with all regulatory, agency, and funding requirements. This includes conducting security checks, fire drills and attending to your assigned post.

Promote independence by assisting and supporting Residents in day-to-day activities, personal care, skills building, community integration and providing counseling around everyday activities.

Support Resident's compliance with treatment plans.

Supervise residents with daily activities, recreational activities, wakeups, and other client needs.

Monitor and complete all household chores and ensure meals are prepared daily.

Conduct goal sessions (Medicaid billable services) and document progress in chart via electronic record.

Complete required paperwork (including but not limited to comprehensive medical billable case notes, progress notes, timesheets, logs, etc.) accurately and thoroughly and submit by the required deadlines.

Attend all required internal meetings, mandatory trainings, and participate in supervision.

Ensure the medication management procedures are properly followed.

Manage crises and emergency situations.

Transport residents in agency vehicles when needed to and from appointments, recreational activities, household errands or as otherwise required.

Collaborate with the Program Coordinator as to program, facility and client needs.

Assume other tasks and responsibilities assigned to ensure the effective operation of the program.
Qualifications

High School diploma or GED with 5 years' experience in human services related field Associate's degree in in human services related field and 3 years related experience

Bachelor's degree in human services related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
