Job Summary:
The Assistant Associate Director of Development supports fundraising, communications, donor engagement, and event operations to strengthen relationships and advance organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Communications & Marketing: Manage social media, create graphics in Canva, and produce bi-weekly email newsletters via Constant Contact while ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
- Donor Management: Maintain accurate donor records in DonorPerfect, process gifts, generate acknowledgments, and support donor stewardship and reporting.
- Events: Plan and execute major fundraising events (Golf Outing, Christmas Luncheon, Gala), including logistics, vendor coordination, budgeting, seating, registration, and on-site support.
- Website & Digital Content: Update website pages, event information, and donor recognition content.
- Direct Mail: Coordinate mailings, manage lists, and work with vendors on printed materials such as invitations and brochures.
Technical Skills: Constant Contact, DonorPerfect, Canva, social media platforms, basic website management, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
Qualifications: A strong candidate would bring a blend of fundraising, communications, and event management experience.
Relevant experience:
- Some experience in nonprofit development, advancement, fundraising, or donor relations
- Experience working with donors, alumni relations, or membership-based organizations
- Hands-on involvement in fundraising campaigns or annual appeals
- Event management
Communications & marketing background:
- Experience managing social media accounts for an organization or brand
- Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva or similar tools)
- Experience writing newsletters, email campaigns, or donor communications
Database & administrative skills:
- Familiarity with donor databases or CRM systems (such as DonorPerfect, Salesforce, or Raiser’s Edge)
- Experience maintaining accurate records, tracking gifts, and generating reports
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Event coordination experience:
- Planning or supporting fundraising events, galas, or community events
- Coordinating logistics such as vendors, venues, schedules, and guest lists
- Experience working with committees or volunteers
Additional strengths:
- Strong writing and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Comfort working in a mission-driven or faith-based nonprofit environment
Compensation:
The position is a temporary paying an hourly range of $20-$25.
