This is not high-volume production machining. Every component must meet exact specifications while following FAA-regulated processes and documentation requirements.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and grinders
- Machine and repair precision aerospace engine components
- Read blueprints, work instructions, travelers, and engineering drawings
- Maintain extremely close tolerances
- Change tooling and adjust feeds and speeds
- Set up fixtures, tooling, and workholding
- Inspect completed parts using:
- Micrometers
- Calipers
- Depth gauges
- Pi tapes
- Precision measuring equipment
- Complete production and inspection documentation
- Perform basic machine maintenance
- Operate overhead cranes when needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all FAA, quality, and safety procedures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- CNC machining experience
- Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Experience using precision inspection equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
Preferred
- Aerospace machining experience
- Turbine engine component repair
- Manual machining experience
- CNC program editing
- Technical school or machining certificate
Pay: $25.82 - $35.10 per hour
