American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Acute Inpatient Rehab position requiring a CA RN license and at least 2 years of rehab nursing experience.

Acute Inpatient Rehab unit within a hospital setting
-
7 rooms/14 beds with an average daily census of 8
-
Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
-
13-week assignment length
-
Required to work every other weekend
-
Float to Med-Surg and Ortho units possible
-
Call requirements depend on patient census
-
Uses Epic EMR system
-
Active CA RN license in hand required (pending license not accepted)

BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
Minimum 1 year of rehab-specific nursing experience required (hard requirement)

Epic charting experience required
-
Prior experience with 1:5 patient ratios
-
Experience preferred in seasoned travelers
-
Skilled in IV therapy, central line care, ortho mobilization techniques, and wound care
-
Experience with neurological conditions such as CVA, stroke, and spinal cord injury preferred
-
2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
-
Provide direct nursing care to acute inpatient rehab patients with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiac conditions
-
May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate/sister facilities as needed
-
Willingness to float is required; refusal may impact assignment status
-
RTO limited to no more than 7 days
-
Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)

Royal blue scrub color required

First-time travelers will be considered, though seasoned travelers are preferred
-
Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
