About the Role:
We are seeking a talented, health-conscious Private Chef to prepare meals in our household for busy professionals. The ideal candidate is passionate about preparing meals that are both nutritious and delicious, GLUTEN FREE, and with a strong emphasis on organic, whole-food ingredients and culinary creativity.
MUST HAVE A PASSION FOR COOKING, KNOWLEDGE OF ASIAN CUISINE AND A VARIETY OF OTHER CUISINES, AND MUST KNOW GLUTEN FREE COOKING!
This position is perfect for someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys working in a private setting, and thrives on curating meals that support a gluten free diet, wellness, dietary needs, and a dynamic palette.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and prepare daily meals (breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner) based on household preferences and dietary goals
Prepare meals and package in single portions for consumption later, as requested.
Create weekly rotating menus focused on gluten-free cooking, clean eating, and seasonal, organic ingredients.
Package prepared meals in individual servings ready to be reheated (meal prep).
Execute meals that are nutritionally balanced, beautifully presented, and tailored to individual preferences
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
Grocery shop as needed, and source high-quality, local, and organic ingredients including curating quality meats from butcher, etc.
Prepare meals in advance when needed and package appropriately
Manage kitchen inventory spreadsheet of all items on hand - ensuring efficient use of ingredients and ensuring that all staples are stocked at all times.
Accommodate special occasions, dietary restrictions, and guest preferences
Ability to prepare meals on-the-fly based on requests from the family or
Ideal Candidate:
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a chef (private or professional kitchen)
Expertise in gluten-free cooking is required
Strong knowledge of organic, health-conscious cuisine and nutritional meal planning
Preferred experience with Asian cuisines (e.g., Thai, Chinese, Japanese, etc), with the ability to integrate these into balanced weekly menus
Culinary degree or relevant certifications strongly preferred
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Discreet, respectful of privacy, and adaptable to working in a home environment
Food safety certification a plus
