Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Recycling Center Manager to lead our waste management and recycling operations. Duties
- Supervise daily recycling center operations, including sorting, processing, and disposal of recyclable materials
- Oversee heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, bailer, compactor,, glass crusher, and a Bob Cat
- Ensure safe and proper use of heavy machinery through training and adherence to safety protocols
- Coordinate with team members to perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work areas
- Manage waste collection schedules and optimize material flow for maximum efficiency
- Enforce safety standards by conducting regular inspections and safety meetings with staff
- Lead a team of operators and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a productive work environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and one-ton trucks.
- Strong background in mechanical or waste management environments
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and environmental regulations related to recycling operations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team
- Good communication skills for coordinating with staff and external partners
- Certifications in heavy equipment operation or safety training are preferred but not mandatory
- Office management skills related to reporting, budgeting, RFPs/quotes and general purchasing.

Pay: $47,840.00 - $52,000.00 per year
